In October 2017 we formed our Meadowbrook Behaviour Ambassadors. Their role is to support children on our playground and ensure that bullying of any kind is challenged.
The children were chosen from the Y5 cohort. Children applied in writing for the role to our Headteacher Mr Barr. They have received coaching and mentoring from Mrs Cubie and meet with her regularly.
They report back on any issues that they believe need addressing. In 2017 this has included challenging older children’s use of homophobic language. They will be working with Southern Brooks Community Partnership on a project in 2017 to challenge all form of intolerance as part of a Home Office funded project linked to anti-radicalisation and the national PREVENT strategy.
